Giah Layne Barrere, 17, Marksville

Services for Giah Layne Barrere will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 7, 2022, in the chapel of Kramer of Fifth Ward with Pastor Mark Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery #3, under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, and resume from 8:30 AM until the time of service on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the funeral home.
Giah Layne Barrere, 17, of Marksville, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Giah is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wadley P. and Virdy Barrere and her maternal grandparents, Rose Bettevy and E.J. Ryan.
Giah was born on December 17, 2004, in Rayne, Louisiana. She will be remembered as having a fearless, adventurous spirit. She graduated from YCP and JCP and more recently completed a culinary cooking course. Giah loved cooking, dancing, making Tik Tok’s and taking selfies. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Donna Ryan Guidry (Jeff); father, Wadley J. Barrere; two brothers, Johnathon Barrere and Bralin Barrere; one sister, Krystal Barrere LaBorde (Jared); seven nieces and three nephews; along with extended family and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve include Jared LaBorde, Keith Camardelle, Elvin Ryan, and Frank Sayer.
