Giles Devereaux, 43, Moreauville

Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Giles Joseph Devereaux will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Devereaux, age 43, of Moreauville, LA., passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Moreauville, LA.

Giles served in the United States Marine Corps and was a P.O.W. who loved serving his country. Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, he pursued a career in law enforcement and Private Investigation. Giles loved his family and enjoyed spending time with family and his friends. He was a hard-working man and enjoyed BBQing and hunting in his spare time. He was fun to be around, because he always had jokes, no matter what the occasion was!

Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Stephannie Mayeaux of Moreauville, La; father, Clifford Devereaux of FL.; mother, Susan Ducote and step-father, (James) of Marksville; one son, Caden Devereaux of Marksville; step-daughter, Mallory Moreau of Moreauville, La; brother, Trevor Devereaux of Nashville, TN.; sisters, Margaret Gauthier (Doni) of Moreauville, La., Becky Riche (Chris) of Moreauville, La., Jenny Lance (Buddy) of Haughton, La., Jessica Gusko of South Carolina. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Kennedy Riche, Ethan Riche, Johyn Riche, Lane Gauthier, and Emilee Gauthier.
