Harold Drouin, 82, Mansura

Funeral Mass for Harold Anthony Drouin “Ru-Ru/Rooster” of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Harold Drouin, age 82, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at his home in Mansura. He was a hard-working man, a good father, proud grandpa, great-grandpa, and loving husband. Harold went back into the arms of his loving wife, Dolores “Doty” Drouin, who he lost two years ago. Carpentry was his trade for over 60 years, and he has built many homes in his lifetime. Hunting, time with family, and reminiscing with friends was his true enjoyment. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell you, to get a smile on yours. He has touched more lives than he could ever know. Harold will be missed more than words can say, but knowing he is with his Doty and Jesus reminds us of the promise we will see him again.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Melissa Gros (Blake) and Shuntel (Eric) Clements, both of Mansura; sons, E’Manuel Drouin of Mansura, and Dwayne Drouin (Melanie) of Cottonport; siblings, Richard Drouin, Darlene Drouin, Judy Desselle, Marion St. Romain, Stravis St. Romain, Terrel St. Romain, and Sonia Guillot. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Joshua Ponthieux, Keith Gros, Derek Drouin, Hunter Drouin, Danielle Drouin, John Drouin, Heather Drouin, Jessie Drouin, and Emily Francois; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Joshua Ponthieux, Keith Gros, Hunter Drouin, Jessie Drouin, John Drouin, and Davis St. Romain.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Drouin; wife, Dolores Armand Drouin; parents, E’Manuel Anthony Drouin & Rita Neck St. Romain; brother, Michael Drouin.

Visitation will begin 8:00am until 11:00am on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.

Family and friends are invited to sign and view the online guestbook at www.escudefuneralhome.com.
