Helen Ann Fitzgerald, 86, Cottonport

Funeral service for Helen Ann Fitzgerald of Cottonport will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport with Pastor Waylon Trahan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s No. 2 Cemetery in Cottonport.

Helen Ann Fitzgerald, age 86, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Shelia Marchand (Arkie), Danny Fitzgerald, Aaron Carl Fitzgerald (Toni), Chris Fitzgerald (Alina); daughter-in-law, Cindy Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Brooke, Chad, Joshua, Amber, Conrad, Crystal, Ashley, Danielle, Sam, Jonah, Jacob, Alan, and Austin; great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Logan, Everly, Skye, Derek, “DJ”, Annalise, Anna Claire, Jace Michael, Amelia, Ryder, Ella, and Miles.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Fitzgerald; husband, Frederick Fitzgerald; parents, Merlyn Ponthieux & Alice Lee Ferguson Ponthieux.

Visitation will begin at 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2023, and will resume at 8:00am until 11:00am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.
