Helen Jane Francois, 93

Graveside services for Helen Jane Francois will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at Evangeline Memorial Park, Ville Platte with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. Francois , age 93, passed away on Monday, January 8th, 2024 at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lena Soileau; previous spouses, Joseph Byron Morein , Sr. and Louisiana Carol Francois; grandsons, Ryon Lawson, and “Lil’ Byron” Morein; sisters, Una, Vena, Joyce, Lou, and Odile.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, J.B. Morein, Jr. (Angie), June Morein Kirby (Johnny), and Debbie Lawson (George); grandchildren, Kim Fowler, Vincent H. Fontenot, Jr., Justin Lawson, Stephanie Morein, Gina Morein Arismendez. She also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
