Henry “Bill” Williams, Jr., 62, Evergreen

Funeral services for Henry “Bill” Williams, Jr. will be Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Evergreen with Rev. Frankie Ford officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Melançon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Magnolia Baptist Church on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Williams, age 62, of Evergreen, passed away on January 13, 2022 at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a retired commercial truck driver. He was a graduate of Carver High School and a Navy veteran. He loved fishing, camping, traveling and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Henry Williams, Sr.; his wife, Lena Williams and his two sisters, Myra Williams and Felicia Williams.

He is survived by his special friend, Vernon Denise Armstrong of Evergreen; his four daughters, Jonita Darden of Virginia Beach, VA, Regina Williams Beckham and husband, Tony, of Douglasville, GA, Shanna Marie Worley of Kenly, NC and Shilonda Holloway of Suffolk, VA; his mother, Elvira Roy Phillip and husband, Charles, of Houston, TX; his three sisters, Cynthia Joubert and husband, Bernie, of Houston, TX, Elecia Reynolds and husband, Phillip, of Bunkie and Trina Williams of Houston, TX; his four brothers, Danny Williams and wife, Dorise, of Houston, TX, Carl Williams of Galveston, TX, Kenneth Dennis and wife, Diana, of Port Arthur, TX and Ray Williams of Houston, TX; his fourteen grandchildren, Lyonna Holland, Kyron Holloman, Jaylin Holloman, Capri Darden, Camare Darden, Cameron Darden, Anthony Darby, Ashoni Darby, Aryhonia Darby, Trenton Bickham, Xya Niya Bickham, Dominic Bickham and Toni Bickham and a great grandchild, Nhaz Amiri Darden.
