James “Billy” Arnouville, 77, Simmesport

Funeral service for James Harold “Billy” Arnouville of Simmesport will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Hamburg. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville and will resume on Saturday morning at 9:00am until the time of service.

James “Billy” Arnouville, age 77, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital. Billy or “Mr. Bill” to those who knew him, worked as a grocery store manager for National, Piggly Wiggly, and Harvest Foods. When he retired, he enjoyed tending his yard to make it beautiful and raising cattle and chickens. Most of all, Billy loved to laugh and loved his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Chad James Arnouville; grandchildren: Claire and Isaac Arnouville; brother, John Holden (Dail) Arnouville, Jr.; sisters, Janice Rabalais and Sally (Donnie) Barr.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: William Jarreau, Taylor Arnouville, Bryan Rabalais, Jamie Barr, Kenneth Arnouville, and Kenny Arnouville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Holden Arnouville, Sr. & Laura Ellen Hux Arnouville; brother, Bobby Joseph Arnouville and William “Pug” Arnouville; sisters, Emily Settoon, Cynthia Arnouville, and Mary Arnouville.
