Jennie Ducote, 85, Marksville

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Jennie Guillory Ducote will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dan O’Connor officiating.
Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery #2 in Fifth Ward. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Jennie Ducote, age 85, of Marksville, LA. passed away at Riviere de Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura, LA., on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.
Mrs. Ducote is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ducote; parents, Lonis and Dora Dubroc Guillory; daughter, Melissa Ducote; sister, Anna Lee St. Romain; grandchildren, Kiara and Alex.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra Ducote, Pamela Ducote both of Alexandria, LA, Katina Ducote of Hessmer, LA; nine grandchildren, Jamey, Deon, Darin, Magen, Chasity, Kelsy, Paige, Kristian, Devin; thirteen great grandchildren, Zayden, Briley, Bricen, Karliegh, Mkinzliegh, Jeremy Jr., Jaxson, Rome, Kason, Aubree, Colton, Zoeh, and Harper.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning until the time of service. A Recitation of the Holy Rosery will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the Chapel with Father Dan O’Connor officiating.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Robin Gable, Kerrie Sayer, Jamey Ducote, Dorian Campbell, Darin Mayberry, and Jerry Lachney.
