Plaucheville – A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Jimmy Lynn Moras at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1 p.m. with Father Irion St. Romain, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, II under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville.
The Moras family has requested a visitation to be held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Friday evening.
Jimmy Lynn Moras, age 71 of Plaucheville, passed away at his residence with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 12:30 a.m. Jimmy was a family man and enjoyed just sitting back on his porch spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. Jimmy could repair or manufacture any task and worked as a machinist for over 50 years providing for his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by those that knew him.
Mr. Moras was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, Sr. and Edna Vercher Moras; sisters, Juanita and Betty Moras; granddaughter, Abby Grace; and two great-grandchildren, Emberlynn and Haiden Archer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Eunice Louise St. Romain Moras of Plaucheville, sons, Michael Lynn (Lisa) Moras of Plaucheville, Jeremy Paul (Kristy) Moras of Plaucheville, Joshua James (Amanda King, Fiance’) Moras of Mansura; siblings, Paul Moras, Jr. of Hessmer, Charles Moras of Echo, Lester Moras of Pollock, Dean Franks of Texas, Rose Charrier of Hessmer, Linda Franks of Marksville, Pauline Moras of Florida, Marie Moras of Arkansas, Martha Moore of Kolin and Lessie Moras of Florida; grandchildren, Cody Archer, Tyler Laborde, Jacob Laborde, Taylor Moras, Kristen Moras, Leighanna Moras, Zachary Moras, Alyssa Moras, Maddie Moras, and Jaylynn Moras; and special family members, Janice Laborde, Lisa Chaisson, Richard Chaisson, Ray Chaisson and Erica Chaisson.
Pallbearers honored to serve are, Richard Chaisson, Ray Chaisson, Cody Archer, Tyler Laborde, Jacob Laborde and Taylor Moras. Crossbearers are Zachary Moras and Kristen Moras.
