Joan M. Gaspard, 80, Mansura

Funeral Mass for Joan M. Gaspard of Mansura will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. The burial will follow at St. Paul the Apostle Cemetery in Mansura.

Joan M. Gaspard, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mrs. Joan was a St. Paul the Apostle Ladies Altar Society member and former owner & operator of the Dollar General Store with her husband, Earl.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Craig Gaspard (Teri) of Lafayette, Farrell Gaspard (Charmaine) of Pineville, Kerry Gaspard (Tracy) of Baton Rouge, and Rene Gaspard (Allison) of Prairieville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Gaspard; her parents, Maurice Ducote & Lonnie Lacour Ducote; her sister, Lillian “Tut” Rabalais.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until 12:00pm with a rosary prayer service at 11:00am on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
