JoAnn Clausen, 76, Evergreen

Funeral services for JoAnn Clausen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church with Bro. John Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Clausen, age 76 of Evergreen, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her residence.
JoAnn loved to dance and play cards with her friends and family and bake her famous cookies. She loved all her girls and had a heart of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Willard and Elizabeth Pearl Dalgo Armand; brothers, Frank, Morris, Roy and Everett Armand; sister, Fay Ann Firmin; and step-son, Ronney Clausen, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Ronney Clausen of Evergreen; her daughters, Donna Douzart (Tommy) of Bunkie, Veronica Goudeau (Shane) of Plaucheville, Sarah Neal (Thomas) of Mansura, Laura Denton (Marion) of Cottonport and Alise Clausen of Plaucheville; her step-daughter, Michelle Davis of Dupont; sister, Evelyn Mire (Roland) of Goudeau; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include: Brailyn Roy, Kade Dixon, George Harris, Jr., Seth Goudeau, Adam Goudeau, Chris Neal and Michael Neal.
Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home Bunkie and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church in Evergreen.
