Joseph Roy, Hessmer

Memorial Services for Joseph will be on October 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer, La with Father Derek Ducote officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am in the Chapel until time of service in the Church.

Those left behind to cherish his memory is mother Renee Smith of Evergreen, father Lynn Roy (Shirley) of Marksville, brother Joshua Roy (Heather) of Hessmer and stepbrother Dustin Dupree (Samantha) of Sandy Lane of Rapides Parish. The mother of his children Tiffanie (Aiden, Adalyn and Autumn) Roy of Hessmer. Aunts, Jennifer Key of Missouri, Nannette Roy of Bunkie. Uncles Thaddeus Roy (Diane) of Mansura, Max Gauthier (Gail) of Texas. Grandmother Sandra Gauthier of Mansura, Great-Aunt Lyndia Gauthier of Mansura. Several nephews and nieces and lots of cousins.

Preceded in death by his Grandparents Maxie and Betty Gauthier of Mansura, James and Irene Roy of Mansura. Great grand-parents Kyrle and Zeline Roy of Mansura, Leon and Marie Dickett of Hessmer and Guy and Penny Gauthier of Mansura.

Joseph loved to fish and spend time with his children. Joseph’s warm and caring nature touched the lives of those around him. He was funny, kind hearted earning his place in the hearts of many. He never met a stranger, always making them laugh with his goofy smile and jokes. He will forever be remembered by his generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. While the loss of Joseph leaves a void in our hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire love, compassion, and faith in the years to come as well let us find solace in the memories we shared. Joseph, we will miss you immensely. We love you.
