Joshua Nugent, 36, Evergreen

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Joshua Nugent on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with Father Ramiji Shoury and Father Louis Sklar. Interment will follow immediately after the mass in the church cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Thursday Feb. 1, 2024 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. and resume on Friday, Feb 2, beginning at 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Joshua Nugent, age 36 of Evergreen, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Joshua was a loving son, grandson, nephew, and friend to all who loved him. He had a mischievous personality to go along with his shocking red hair. He had a gift for music and could master playing any instrument without any formal training. He was also a very talented artist. He will be dearly missed by everyone he left behind.
Preceding him in his eternal rest are his father, Keith Nugent, grandfathers, Lawrence Mayeaux and Jimmy Nugent, uncle, Mark Mayeaux, and aunt Paula Boka.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Billy Lemoine of Evergreen; grandmothers, Lottie Mayeaux of Evergreen and Barbara Nugent of Marksville, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Josh - your mortal suffering has ended and now you can rest in peace. I love you. Momma
