Joyce Brignac, 83, Bunkie

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Joyce Ducote Williber Brignac on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. and resume on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Mrs. Brignac, age 83, of Bunkie, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Bunkie General Hospital. She was a telephone operator with South Central Bell for ten years. She proudly worked for the Avoyelles Council agency free pharmacy for twenty years. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters Court St. Anthony #968. There is no way to describe her love for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amet and Mary Belle Ducote; her sister, Betty Whittington and her two brothers, Tommy Ducote and Anthony Ducote.
She is survived by her husband, Al Brignac of Bunkie; her daughter, Kim Williber Grimball and husband, Tim of Milton, LA; her two sons, Mark Williber and wife, Brenda, of Esterwood, LA and Andy Williber of Lafayette; her two step-daughters, Connie Fornea and husband, Allen, of Cypress, TX and Sharon Owens and husband, Bill, of Westlake, LA; her step-son, Kevin Brignac and spouse, David Alexander, of Alexander, NC; her seven grandchildren, Adam Williber, Rachel Clark, Linsey Foley, Tara Boudreaux, Lauren Williber, Zack Williber and Kelly Williber; her step-grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Fornea, Katherine Fornea, Monique (Terry) Langlinais, Elizabeth (Jared) Martin and Gilbert McComb, Jr.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Adam Williber, Wayne Whittington, Clay Whittington, Evan Clark, Caleb Boudreaux and Zane Foley with Zane Alexander Foley as an Honorary Pallbearer.
