Joyce Hines, 86, Hickory Hill

Graveside services for Mrs. Joyce Brouillette Hines will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery #1 in Marksville with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Entombment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Hines, age 86, of Hickory Hill passed away at Oak Haven Nursing Home on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville. She was a dedicated special education teacher for 40 years in St. Bernard Parish. Mrs. Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and camping all over Louisiana and the surrounding states.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Hines; parents, Joseph and Zola Bordelon Brouillette.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Blake Hines, (Janine) of Picayune, MS, Glenn Hines (Lisa ) of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Susan Hallner (Barry) of Hickory Hill, Karen Normand (Wayne) of Marksville; two brothers, Napoleon Brouillette (Shirley) of Alexandria, Errol Brouillette (Jode) of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
