Funeral services for Juanita Marie Mitchell of Ball, originally from Moreauville, will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating.

Internment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Moreauville.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until time of service on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.

Juanita Marie Mitchell, age 81, passed away at her residence on December 20, 2023.

Juanita, lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends. Her vibrant garden and crafting was a reflection of her kind and nurturing soul. Animals held a special place in Juanita's heart, particularly her beloved cats. Their purrs and playful antics brought her comfort and companionship. Juanita had a unique ability to understand and connect with these furry creatures, providing them with a loving home and endless affection.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bruce Mitchell (Rebecca), Randy Mitchell (Ann), and Steven Mitchell (Melissa); sister, Dean Armand; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Ducote and Lena Couvillion; spouse, Randolph Mitchell; sister, Theresa Laborde; brothers, Andrew Ducote, Patrick Ducote, and Owen Ducote.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville.
