June Giglio, 91, Cottonport

Funeral Mass for June Giglio of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. John Wiltse officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery 2.

June Giglio, age 91, passed away at her home in Cottonport surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Frank Giglio (Janet), Mary Johanson (David), Anita LeBlanc (Lex), and Lila Plauche (Ronnie); her nine grandchildren, Tony Giglio, Christopher Giglio, Clinton Giglio, Emily Wheeler, Robert Johanson, Laura Descant, Natalie Piazza, Camille LeBlanc, and Claire LeBlanc. She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Doux” Giglio; parents, Calvin and Velma Goudeau; brothers, Dale Goudeau, Michael Goudeau, and Russell Goudeau.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00am on Thursday, and a rosary will be recited before mass at 10:30am at the church. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Tony Giglio, Christopher Giglio, Clinton Giglio, Robert Johanson, Clay Descant, Joshua Piazza, and Patrick Wheeler as cross bearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to St. Mary's Assumption Catholic School.
