Karen Gremillion, 68, Marksville

A Mass of Christian Burial for Karen Brouillette Gremillion will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with the Rev. Ramji Shoury officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Gremillion, age 68 of Marksville, passed away on Wednesday at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport.
Karen was born in Marksville on November 6, 1952. She and her husband Steve owned and operated the Pawn Shop in Bunkie for 30 years and she was also a tax preparer for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Gremillion; her father, Herman Brouillette; her dear friend Gene Baudin; and many others dear to her.
She is survived by her children, who adored their mother; Laurie Floyd and husband Jamie of Deville, Janet Landry and husband Jason of Evergreen and Shawn Gremillion; her mother, Mary Ann Brouillette Saltzman and husband Marlin of Bunkie; her siblings, Barbara Selby of St. Joseph, Fred Brouillette of Katy, TX and JoAnn Ducote; her grandchildren, Katelyn, Kellie, Madison and Mickey and her great-grandson, Luke.
Pallbearers include: Jamie Floyd, Jason Landry, Aaron Vining, David Belgard, Roy Landry and Lyle Decuir.
Friends may visit on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.
