Kerry Kent Kirby Sr., 61, Simmesport

Kerry Kent Kirby Sr. passed away at the age of 61, at his residence in Simmesport. He will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of compassion, reflection, and dedication will continue to inspire us all.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Kerry's life during the Memorial Visitation on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.

Kerry was a beloved husband to his wife, Lori Kirby, and together they shared countless cherished memories. His role as a devoted partner brought immeasurable joy to both their lives. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, providing them with a loving and nurturing home.

Throughout his journey he was a skilled boilermaker, he created delicious meals that brought comfort. Kerry's love for cooking extended beyond his own family, as his generous heart led him to serve and feed countless others. His warm meals and inviting nature brightened the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of sharing a table with him.

Kerry's service to his country was another source of great pride for him. He bravely served in the Navy, dedicating his time and efforts to the protection and well-being of others. His commitment to serving his nation exemplified his selflessness and desire to make a difference in the world.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lori Kirby; son, Anthony Kirby (Megan); daughters, Heidi Mayeaux-Wagner (Erik), Hannah Guillory (Elijah); grandchild, Brantley Kirby; brothers, Keith Kirby, Kyle Kirby, Justin Kirby, and Matt Hall; mother-in-law, Linda Rachal; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kerry Kent Kirby, Jr.; parents, Charles Kenneth Kirby and Tincy Robinson; and father-in-law, John Rachal.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
