SIMMESPORT - Funeral services for Lane Plauche of Simmesport will take place at the Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will commence at the Christ the King Catholic Cemetery. Service and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport that Wednesday morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lane Plauche, age 72, passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home. He was born on March 19, 1946.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Rachal Plauche; parents, Dr. Joseph Winnfield Plauche and Juanita Fryoux Plauche; brothers, Rhett Plauche and Winn Plauche.
He is survived by his children, Eve Whitmore of Marksville and Lane (Julie) Plauche, Jr. of Lafayette; grandchildren, Christian, Ashley, Alli, and Jenni; great-grandchild, Nixon; and sisters, Nina Brinkley, Helen Lacombe, Liz Lacombe, Mary Moreau, and Valerie Howell.
