Laura Mayeux Gremillion, 96, Marksville

Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Laura Mayeux Gremillion will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jim Ferguson officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum # 2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Gremillion, age 96, of Marksville passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Gremillion; parents, Harris and Mary Dupuy Gremillion; brothers, Hudson J. Mayeux and Herman Mayeux; sisters, Grace Mayeux Panichella and Beverley Mayeux Couvillion; two great grandchildren, Ross M. Blair and Bentley Gremillion.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronald Gremillion (Ida) of Zachary, La., Kenneth “Ken” Gremillion (Elaine) of Marksville, John Gremillion (Rhonda) of Walker, La., Ray Gremillion (Donna) of Zachary, La., and Glenn Gremillion (Peggy) of Fifth Ward, LA.; one daughter, Patricia Dupuy (Timothy) of Zachary, LA.; eighteen grandchildren; thirty seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 11:00 a.m.
