Marcel Bordelon, Pineville

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcel Bordelon will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Alexandria with Reverend Bill Gearheard officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Deville.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Monday at 10:00 a.m. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary with Deacon Ken Primeaux will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Mr. Bordelon, 59, of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Bordelon was an appliance repair technician during his working life and was a devout Catholic. Marcel loved to hunt and was a good uncle to his nieces and nephews. He would always help if someone was in need. Marcel touched the hearts of many.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roland Bordelon, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, JoAnn Marchand and husband, Mike; brother, Roland Bordelon, Jr. and wife Raquel; sisters, Jeannine Ducote, Janelle Bonner and husband, Chip, and Renee VanAsselberg; numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, and other family members and friends.
