Margie Lachney, 89, Fifth Ward

Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mrs. Margie Lamartiniere Lachney on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Obiekwe officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery #3 in Fifth Ward. Services are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.

Mrs. Lachney, age 89, of Fifth Ward, LA. passed on Wednesday, February 7, 2023 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Adele Daigrepont Lamartiniere; brothers, Steven Lamartiniere and James Lamartiniere; brother in laws, Gerald Owens, Elton Deshotel and Philip Ducote; sister in laws, Pat Lamartiniere, Rita Lamartiniere, Jackie Lamartiniere, Doris Deshotel, Wanda Descant and Susan Lachney.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years; Ray Lachney of Fifth Ward; sons, Kenny Lachney (Connie Dupree) of Belldeau, Craig Lachney (Darlene) of Marksville, and Terry Cooper; one brother, Mark Lamartiniere; sister, Amy Lamartiniere; four grandchildren, Kayla Dauzat, Shaun Lachney, Kristen Lachney and Melanie Lachney; and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday February 12, 2024. A recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Shaun Lachney, James Courville, Thad Hukins, Sammy Guillot, Kerry Guillot and Troy Ducote, Jr.
