Marie Brown, 87, Marksville

Funeral service for Marie Brown of Marksville will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Grace Community Church in Jacoby with Rev. Larry Thibodeaux officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Marie Brown, age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at her home in Marksville.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Evelyn “Cou” Gunnells; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew & niece-in-law, Keith & Jackie Gunnells; special great-great-niece, Khloe Rico.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Eldridge; her husband, Charles Brown; parents, Louis Cole Brouillette and Azema Mayeaux Brouillette; siblings, Herman Brouillette, Hubert Brouillette, Linscomb “Doc” Brouillette, Elvy Brouillette, Lynnie Prothro, and Grace Brener.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Grace Community Church in Jacoby.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Hospice Care; nurses: Dallas, Allison, Brenda, Shelia. A special thanks for all the girls at Popeyes in Marksville that she considered her close friends. Thank to all your kindness and visits.
