Mary “Pat” Lean Thrasher, 84, Marksville

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary “Pat” Lean Thrasher will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Newman officiating. Interment will be held at the Vick Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. Thrasher, age 84, of Marksville, LA. passed away on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Thrasher, Sr.; son, Michael Ellis; parents, Elwood and Eura Bordelon Green; brothers, Calvin Green, Jospeh Green and Alton Green; sister, Bertha Jones; and one grandson, Adam Ellis.

Mrs. Mary was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church, she loved reading her Bible and going to Church faithfully. She loved her family and always prayed for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching westerns and cop shows. Mrs. Mary loved flowers and drinking her morning cup of coffee.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald Ellis, Jimmy Thrasher, Jr. and Jessie Thrasher; daughters, Peggy Price and Michale Guillory; two brothers, Johnny Green and James Green; one sister, Nellie Womack; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and reopen on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Homes.
