Mary Jane Normand, 72, Hessmer

A Memorial Mass for Mary Jane Normand of Hessmer will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer on Monday, June 12th, 2023 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.

Mary Jane Normand, age 72, passed away at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lee Normand, Sr. (Lynn) and Lisa Normand; grandchildren, Lee Normand, Jr., Luke Anthony Normand, Shannon George, Kylie George, and Madison George; and her great-grandchild, Nova Sellers. She is also survived by her sister, Norma St. Romain; brothers, Harold Ponthieux, Rudolph Ponthieux, Haven Ponthieux, and Walter Dauzat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Normand; daughter, Shannon Normand; parents, Joseph and Fredna Dauzat Ponthieux; sister, Dorothy Guillory.
