Mary Leona Calliham, 93, Simmesport

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Leona Calliham of Simmesport will begin at 11:00am on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sacred Heart No. 2 Mausoleum in Moreauville.

Mary Leona Cannon Calliham, age 93, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Priscilla Ann Calliham of Houston; son, Hillary (Jessie Marie) Calliham, Jr. of Houston; grandchild, Nicholas (Brandye) Calliham of Houston; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her husband, Hillary Calliham, Sr.; her sons, Harold Calliham and Calvin Calliham; parents, Louis & Louise Goody Cannon; Hilda Williams, Annie Mae Joseph, Hazel Cannon, Lela Landry, and Roberta Hayward; brothers, Louis Cannon, Jr., Alfred Cannon, and Clarence Jackson.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 11:00am on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
