Mary Lou Fontenot, 89, Deville

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Fontenot will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend Joe Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Gardens, Pollock, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mrs. Fontenot, 89, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in her residence.

She was a native of Ville Platte and a homemaker. She was a member Tioga Baptist Church and a former twenty-five-year member of Airbase Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, driving and traveling, and loved to sew. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Tavie Conrad; her husband, Wilfred Fontenot; one son, Mark Fontenot; and one sister, Betty Conrad.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Jeffery Fontenot and his wife, Rebecca, of Ville Platte and Mike Fontenot and his wife, Margaret, of Hickory Grove; one brother, Hank Conrad, of Baton Rouge; one sister, Dorothy Pardue, of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve are: Jesse Fontenot, Mike Fontenot, Jr., Jacob Fontenot, Andrew Fontenot, Daniel Fontenot, Josh Single and Clinton Single.
