Melissa Jacob-Baker, 45

Funeral service for Melissa Latrice Jacob-Baker of Kennesaw, GA will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura with Rev. Gary Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Little Zion Baptist Cemetery in Longbridge.

Melissa Latrice Jacob-Baker, 45, entered eternal rest on August 16, 2021. She was born to the late Jessie Jacob, Jr., and Savannah McGlory Jacob on September 23, 1975, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Melissa was a caring, kind-hearted, and selfless person who always showed her sweet genuine side and loved her family dearly. She worked as a Senior Project Administrator at Arcadis US and Company, an Engineering Consultant Firm in Atlanta, Georgia for 13 years and loved her job and coworkers. Melissa will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Melissa leaves to mourn her passing yet cherish her memory are her husband, Fredrick Baker, one son, Stephen Jacob, one daughter, Amaria Baker, all of Kennesaw, GA; her mother, Savannah Jacob, one brother, Travis Jacob, and one sister, Catina Shuler, all of Marksville, LA; one godchild, Kentroy Jackson of Youngsville, LA; two uncles, Percy McGlory, Jr. (Madeline) and Kelly Lonis Jacob, both of Marksville, LA; her godparents, Leon Anderson and Annette Gonzales, both of Marksville, LA; two bonus sisters, Cicely Jacobs and Charmaine Snyder also of Marksville, LA, three nieces, one nephew, and a host of family and friends.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Jacob, Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Jessie Jacob, Sr. & Mary Jacob; and her maternal grandparents, Percy McGlory, Sr. & Rose Jones McGlory.
