Michael Christopher Alexander, Simmesport

Funeral Mass for Michael Christopher Alexander of Simmesport will begin at 12:00pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler. Burial will follow at Greater New Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Simmesport. Visitation will begin at 7:00am until 11:45am, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
Michael Alexander, age 69, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Demetria Francois-Alexander; son, LaDarren Alexander (Adrian Alexander); daughters, Tamara Alexander & LaKeshia Wells; helped raise as his own, Selisha Deshautelle; his mother, Ludie Ann Goody-Alexander; brother, Richard Roy “Pop” Alexander, Jr.; sisters, Rachael Ann Alexander, Ethel Grace Alexander, Kathy Marie Jackson (Roscoe); 6 grandchildren, Rashawn, Demetrius, Unique, Mila, Mia, & Kaylynn. He is also survived by uncle, Oscar Goody, Sr.; aunt, Bernadette Goody; sisters-in-law, Annetta Mickie Dupas, Frankie Houston (Earl), Willie Lynette Francois; brother-in-law, George Brown.
He was preceded in death by his son, Corey Alexander; his father, Richard Roy Alexander, Sr.
