Michael Wade Tassin, Pineville

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Wade Tassin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville with Reverend Dale Meade officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 26, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm and will resume on Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Mr. Tassin, age 62, of Pineville, formally of Mansura, passed away, Friday, June 23, 2023 at CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Polly Tassin and one brother, Norman Tassin.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Neill of Pineville; one son, Lane Tassin (Ashley) of Lafayette; one daughter, Brooke Tassin of Donegal, Ireland; two step-sons, Jake Townley (Morgan) of Deville, Blake Townley (Susan) of Manvel, TX; two brothers, Joel Tassin (Darla) of Mansura, John P. Tassin, Jr. of Jena; three sisters, Naomi Gates (Warren) of Pineville, Suzanne Cheatham (Steve) of Ball, Lisa Vincent (Marty) of Pineville; sister-in-law, Stacey Tassin; five grandchildren, Vivian Tassin, William Tassin, Jaylen Townley, Madilyn Townley, and Emma Townley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike retired as a recruiter from the Louisiana Army National Guard and was an Operation Desert Storm Veteran. His biggest passions were Hunting, Fishing, the outdoors, and LSU sports. He was a loving spouse, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by many.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Rhett Deshautelle, Ricky McMickens, Seth McMickens, Jake Tassin, Seth Tassin, and Jake Townley. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Tassin, Luke Tassin, Guy Tassin, Joshua Vincent, Russell Cheatham, Daniel Gates, Shaun Griffin and Blake Townley.
