Mitchel Chesne, Jr., 88, Simmesport

Mitchel Chesne, Jr. age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Mitchel was born in Simmsport, LA on October 4, 1934. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He spent the majority of his career stationed in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion and Men of Manresa. He proudly owned Mitch’s Pest Control for many years.
Mitchel is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Chesne. He is survived by his daughter Gladys Modica; his grandchildren, Cornelius Modica, III, Cory Modica and Brittany Modica; five great grandchildren and two brothers, Sonny Chesne and Howard Chesne.
Mitchel is preceded in death by his son Mitchel Chesne, III; his parents Mitchel and Vilma Chesne, as well as his brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invite to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 with Rev. Irvin Boudreaux officiating at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA 70062. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery in Destrehan, LA.
