Neta Faye Thurman Juneau, 78

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Neta Faye Thurman Juneau on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. Entombment will be held in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Mausoleum in Echo, LA. under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
Mrs. Juneau, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on February 23rd, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Juneau; son, Phillip Ray Juneau; parents, Lloyd Lionel and Neta Louise Thurman; and one brother, Thomas Ward Thurman.

Neta became a Licensed Beautician at a young age and enjoyed doing hair for family and friends over the years. She was a Retired school bus driver for East Baton Rouge School Systems for 22 years. She loved driving her bus and cared for the children she transported to and from school. She loved shopping and never turned down trying new places to eat. You could say she was a food connoisseur at heart.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Stacy Lynn Juneau Homes (Johnell Holes) of Baker, LA. and Mary Alison Juneau Galloway (Skipper Galloway) of Denham Springs, LA.; brothers, Harmon MacDonald (Donna) and Wesley Kenneth Thurman; one sister, Verda Louise McKey; five grandchildren, Katie Mae Griggs, Stephanie Kay LaPrairie (Ashley LaPrairie), Courtney Renee L. Martin (Alex Martin), Bobby Ray Juneau and Trevor Myles Galloway (Alyssa Galloway); five great grandchildren, Aidan Joseph Griggs, Isabelle Marie Galloway, Alessa Paige Galloway, Miller Alexander Martin and Nolan Michael Martin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Marksville.
