Patricia Bonnette, 80, Marksville

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Patricia Rose Dupuy Bonnette will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dan O’Connor officiating.

Interment will be held at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Patricia Bonnette, age 80, of Marksville, LA. passed away at her home peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.

Mrs. Patricia was a devout Catholic and Christian. She never missed an opportunity to pray the Rosary, and loved all she came in contact with. She was selfless, kind spirited, and always willing to put her needs aside to help others, just as Jesus taught us. She had many pastimes, including gardening, visiting on the phone, Facebook, and spending every moment she could with her children and grandchildren. Early in her years, she worked as a secretary for Pinecrest Developmental Center and the LA State Health Department. After the birth of her children, she devoted herself to the fulltime care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who came into her path, and her legacy of love and Christ-like example will always be remembered.

Mrs. Bonnette is preceded in death by her parents, Dyron and Hazel Dubrock Dupuy; sister, Dyann Normand.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Walter Bonnette; son, Michael Brent Bonnette (Marcy) of Deville, LA.; daughters, Angela Marie Bonnette Hathorn (John) of Effie, LA., Staci Michelle Bonnette Bass (Chet) of Pineville, LA., Joy Teressa Bonnette Gauthier (Chris) of Pineville, LA.; brother, Robert Dupuy (Sandi) of Thomasville, GA.; nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until shortly before relocating to the church for time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Mikael Bonnette, John Hathorn,V, Brandon Hathorn, Christian Bass, Christopher Cole, and Kurt Normand. Cross bearer will be Canyon Bass.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Annica Dupuy, along with the entire staff of All Saints Hospice, for the dedicated care, love and kindness shown to them during their time of need.
