Funeral services for Mr. Richard Joseph Reed, Jr. will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with Father Abraham Varghese officiating. Interment will be at Holy Ghost Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Reed, age 44, of Marksville LA., passed away at his residence on Friday, January 20, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Reed, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patrice Reed of Marksville, LA.; son, Richard J. Reed, III of Marksville, LA.; mother, Marilyn J. Reed of Marksville, LA.; brothers, Michael Reed, Dan’Niell “D” Dominick; brother -in- laws, Carlos Ford (Ashley) and Patrick Ford (Shamaka) all of Marksville, LA.; sister, Victoria Reed - Alexander (Ralph) of Marksville, LA.; sister -in-law, Keenya Desselle (Don Craig) of Marksville, LA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 9:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:20 a.m.
