Sabia Bowman, 85, Bunkie

Funeral services for Sabia Juneau Bowman will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating. Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. with a Rosary Service at 10:00 a.m.
Sabia J. Bowman, 85, of Bunkie, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Bayou Vista Community Care Center. She was born June 14, 1933 in Bunkie, Louisiana. She was marred to the late Valley Emile Bowman and was the only daughter of the late Ivy and Annie Juneau. Also proceeded in death by her brothers, Huron, Vernon and Alden Juneau.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Marilyn Bowman and son Ted Bowman. She was blessed with three grandchildren Wesley Lemoine, Priscilla Bowman and Tyler Bowman and three great grand children Sebastian Lemoine, Nora Lemoine and Isaac Bowman.
She was an active member of St. Anthony Church her entire life and served in St. Anthony’s Catholic Daughters for more than 30 years. Many of you know her from the years she sold furniture in Bunkie. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be made to St. Anthony School - 116 S. Knoll, Bunkie, La. 71322.
