Shirley McNeal, 79, Marksville

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Dauzat McNeal will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers in Marksville, LA. at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Keith Lamartiniere officiating. Interment will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Mausoleum in Moncla, LA. under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. McNeal, age 79, of Marksville, LA. passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Avoyelles Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerrel Lee McNeal; parents, Hurley and Allie Guillory Dauzat; one infant brother, Earl Dauzat; and sister, Elaine Couvillion.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Bonnette (Craig) of Fifth Ward and Gaye Guillot Jones of Charlotte, NC.; one brother, Harold Paul Dauzat (Hilda) of Gonzales, LA.; six grandchildren, Heather Holloway, Michelle Bonnette, Bryan Bonnette, Brandon Guillot, Zachary Guillot and D.J. Jones; and ten great grandchildren plus one on the way.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and resume on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Craig Bonnette, Bryan Bonnette, Brandon Guillot, Austyn Holloway, Joseph Hilton and Bryce Guillot. Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Holloway, Jacob Pringle, Couben Holloway, Parker Holloway and Brandon Holloway.
