Stanley Eric Sprinkle, 68, Marksville

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Eric Sprinkle. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29th, 2024 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2 with military honors conducted by the United States Army, Fort Johnson.

Mr. Sprinkle, age 68, of Marksville, passed away on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 in Houston, Texas.

Stan was born on October 1st, 1955 in Monticello Illinois. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, barbecuing, being with his family, time in the woods, giving advice, and always had numerous projects going on. Anyone that knew Stan, knew how much he loved to work. He was an electrician and mechanic by trade, but there wasn’t much that he could not do. Stan spent years in the oilfield, many of them overseas. He owned multiple businesses over the years, and eventually retired from Hillcorp Energy in 2021.

He is preceded in death by his father John Sprinkle and his Mother Elizabeth Sprinkle. His brother Rick Sprinkle. His granddaughters Cara Descant and Cierra Bordelon.

He is survived by his wife, Monique Sprinkle; sisters, Kathy Bordelon and Joyce Koshinski (Dale Koshinski); daughters, Erica Strohman, Ali Laborde (Lane Laborde), and Cassie Bordelon; son, Samuel Sprinkle (Jennifer Thomas). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kane Strohman, Camryn Strohman, Luke Settle, McKinley Sprinkle, Sawyer Sprinkle, Chelsey Laborde, Carson Laborde, Cambrie Laborde, and Jaymen Bordelon.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Kane Strohman, Lane Laborde, Matthew Koshinski, Joey Bordelon, Oscar Flores, and Benjamin Maddie.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday, April 29th, 2024 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services.
