Sue Price, 71, Deville

Funeral services for Sue Price will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2024 at Crossroads New Life Tabernacle, Deville with Reverend James White officiating. Burial will be in Martha’s Chapel Cemetery, Deville under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Price, Shannon Hines, Brad Deville, Logan Moses, Alvin Giddings, Calvin Giddings, Chad Hines, Josh Price and Karl Sanson.

The family requests that visitation be observed at the church Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Price, 71, of Deville, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.

Mrs. Price was a member of Crossroads New Life Tabernacle, Deville. Sue retired from Pinecrest State School after 28 years of service to spend time with her family. A dedicated mother and grandmother, she loved to cook and bring family together. Sue loved to travel with her family and take vacations. She loved to sew things for her children. Camping, sitting on the dock with her hook in the water, and boat rides on the lake during the summer were just a few things she enjoyed doing with her family. Sue enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s ball games and hummingbirds. Her favorite time of the year was fall because she loved Halloween. She touched the heart of many and her memory will be cherished forever.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duke Hines; step-father, J.D. Rush; sister, Wanda Gale Rush, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Price.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years, Rodney C. Price; mother, Barbara Fuqua Hines Rush; sons, Rodney Lynn Price, Barry Lee Price (Cindy), and Kevin Dewayne Price (Jessica); brothers, Wayne Hines, Floyd Hines (Joyce), and Terry Hines (Debra); sisters, Barbara Ann Wade (Loyd), and Raylynn Rush; grandchildren, Josh Price (Kathleen), Alyssa Price, Lilly Price and Lane Price and numerous other family and friends.
