Themus “Timmy” Jeansonne, III, 55, Simmesport

Funeral Mass for Themus “Timmy” Jeansonne, III will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Monday, March 13th, 2023 beginning at 1:00PM with Fr. Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will be at the Christ the King Mausoleum of Simmesport.

Timmy Jeansonne, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Paulette Jeansonne; children, Amber Courville (David) and Brooke Laprairie (Brandon); parents, Themus, Jr. and Delilah Jeansonne; father and mother-in-law, “Jay Bird” and Pettie Armand; sisters, Angela Jeansonne and Donna Jeansonne; brother, Christopher Jeansonne (Amy); sister-in-law, Bridget Savoy (Lane); brother-in-law, Jeremy Armand. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Brandon Jr., Braylie, Benson, Benton, and Briella; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Timmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He enjoyed working hard and providing for his family. He was devoted to Paulette, Amber, Brooke, and their families; his pride in his family was indeed evident every time he spoke of them. He reveled in figuring out how to repair the trucks and equipment of the family logging operation and was always prepared to help others who needed his expertise. An avid hunter and fisherman, he delighted in introducing his girls and grandchildren to the pleasures of being outdoor sportsmen and was thrilled when the enjoyed it as much as he did. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with his family and friends. He had a special knack of telling a story: just watching him tell us about his exploits was a joy in itself. Timmy had a soft heart and always helped in any way possible when needed. His presence will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport on Monday, March 13th, 2023 from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
