Thomas Charles “Tommy” Garrot, Sr., 72, Marksville

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Charles “Tommy” Garrot, Sr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Rev. Brian Seiler officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery 2, Mausoleum under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mr. Garrot, age 72, of Marksville, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis “L.G.” Garrot, Jr. and Betty Ann Roy Garrot.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, June Chatelain Garrot; sons, Buddy Garrot (Kaleigh) of Marksville, LA., and Wesley Marcel Garrot (Jenny) of Marksville, LA; brothers, Louis G. Garrot, III of Abbeville, LA., and Ellis “Jimmy” Andrus, Jr. (Barbara) of Carmichael, CA. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren.

“Tommy” as he was mostly known, was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He worked in the oil industry for many years, and also served as Marksville City Manager for several years. He enjoyed working hard, providing for his family, and living life to the fullest. His strong work ethics and family values will always be remembered.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Hunter Garrot, Kaden Garrot, Benton Garrot, Kade Garrot, Mike Ducote, and Lynn Aymond. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be all of his close friends that he knew through the years.

The family requests visitation be observed on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Per Tommy’s request, all family and friends should be encouraged to dress casual for his funeral. As we all know, he was not a fan of wearing a coat and tie!
