Wilkie David Luneau, 82, Center Point

Funeral Services for Wilkie David Luneau will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Marksville with Rev. Mike Mayeau officiating. Burial will follow in French Cemetery, Center Point.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 25, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Zach Roszell, Tanner Roszell, Ty Luneau, Griffin Pirtle, Donnie Luneau and Kerry Luneau.

Mr. Luneau 82, of Center Point died Friday October 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Wilkie was a Graduate of Lafargue High School where he played basketball. He later joined the U.S. Army and served his country in the Army and Army National Guard. During his working career he was a Technician for United Gas.

Wilkie was best known as Paw Paw Wilk by all the kids in the community. He was a permanent fixture at all the ball games and community gatherings. He was the announcer for the BarM Rodeo for many years and was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Gus Wilfred Luneau Sr. and Vertie Cripps Luneau Taylor;
granddaughter Brandi Roszell and grandson Austin Dean Luneau; brothers Gus Wilfred
Luneau Jr., Billy Ray Luneau and Clint Luneau; sisters Joyce L. Mahoney, Gussie L. Edwards.

He leaves to Cherish his memory his wife of sixty years Dean Chatelain Luneau; son Daren David Luneau and wife Jamie; daughters Lisa L. Easterling and Angie L. Roszell and husband Robby; brother Kenneth Luneau and wife Melanie; sisters Geraldine Deloach and Charlene Johnson; Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.
