William Morgan Patten, 83, Marksville

Funeral services for Mr. William Morgan Patten will be held on Monday, October 30th, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Rev. Kenneth Patten officiating. Interment, with military honors by the United States Army, will be held in the Cushman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mr. Patten, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 25th, 2023 in Alexandria, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Nell Walker Patten; parents, Reese Clarence Patten and Ida Lee Mason Patten; sons, Gregory Lane Patten; step-son, Neal Paul Couvillion; brothers, J.C. Patten, Lee Patten, and Albert Earl Patten.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Harlan Ray Patten of Ball, LA.; step-son, Glen J. Couvillion and wife Marcia of Pineville, LA.; step-daughter, Gwen Couvillion Garnett and husband Greg of Denham Springs, LA.; brother, Rev. Kenneth Patten and wife Patsy of Summit, MS. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Cher Wilson and husband Joey, Marcy Fluitt and husband Eric, Lauren Holmes and husband Chris, John Shirley and wife Kasey, David Couvillion and wife Morgan, and Micah Couvillion; 10 great-grandchildren, Zoe Couvillion, Brooks Jeansonne, Cara Jeansonne, Christa Jeansonne, Miles Fluitt, Myla Shirley, Lane Fluitt, Peyton Shirley, Ellis Couvillion, and Landry Couvillion.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30th, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. until the beginning of services at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Couvillion, Micah Couvillion, John Shirley, Dudley Waldrop, Kendall Patten, and Sam Lancaster. Honorary Pallbearer will be Robert McCann.
