Willie J. Ducote, 97, Simmesport

Funeral Mass for Willie J. Ducote of Simmesport will begin at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Kurian officiating. Entombment & military honors will follow at the Christ the King Mausoleum.

Willie J. Ducote, age 97, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the LaCour Assisted Living Center in New Roads. Mr. Willie served honorably in the U.S. Army between 1944 and 1946.

Those left to cherish his memory are his numerous nieces and nephews.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Kody Munson, Gavin Clark, Cory Mixon, Reid Munson, Sammy Mixon, Chad Munson; and honorary pallbearers, Brad Gunnells and Wyatt Munson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Eunice Gauthier Ducote; siblings, Silton Ducote, Sedonia Baudin, Paul Ducote, Theresa Mixon, and Grace Dowty.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.
