Mrs. Anna Belle, born November 8 th , 1938, was raised in Jonesville and resided in the Brouillette community of Marksville. She passed from this life on Friday, March 13 th , 2026, at the age of 87, at Oak Haven Community Care Center.

Anna Belle had great faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word, and His many promises. She demonstrated her faith by living a life of dedicated prayer throughout each day and listening to Sunday morning sermons on her radio faithfully.

She was a homemaker for the majority of her lifetime, but also showed her love and care by being a caregiver for the elderly. She also showed her great love by caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren throughout her lifetime. Her family was her greatest joy,
and she spoke highly of them often. She was feisty and full of character, yet she was extremely generous, loving, and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Debra Bordelon (Mark) ; five grandchildren Shawn LaPrairie (Shawna), Brandi Bordelon (Joey), Derik LaPrarie (Tera), Ashley Watts (Drew), Danielle Wiley (Jonathan); two step grandchildren Lance Bettevy and Lindsey
Bettevy; nine great-grandchildren Shawn LaPrairie Jr., Wesley Plummer, Jacob LaPrairie, Isabella “Belle” Watts, Ethan LaPrarie, Amelia Watts, Kolton Mathews, Luke Wiley, Lily Wiley; five great-great-grandchildren; daughter in laws Sue “Nanny” LaPrarie, Shelly LaPrarie; her longtime companion and friend Carl Huffman; and a host of other family and friends that loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Issabelle Adams, 5 sisters and one brother, former spouse of her three children Mitchel LaPrarie, former spouse Kenneth Smith, eldest son Dooley “Man” LaPrarie, son Milton “Milt” LaPrarie, niece Judy “Nay-Nay” Normand, and great-great granddaughter Addilyn LaPrarie.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Oak Haven Community Care Center (The Bayou Hall) in CenterPoint, for their care for our mom/grandmother in her time of residence there.
