MANSURA, LA — The life of Bertha Mae Johnson, 76, will be honored with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura, with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.

Mrs. Johnson passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Hessmer Nursing Home.

Family
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tauren Johnson and Marvelle (Kristi) Johnson; grandchildren, Mya, Lilian, and Nathaniel Paul; sisters, Rosa Batiste Harper, Veronica Batiste, Mary Batiste, and Dorothy Batiste Hall; and her brother, Glenn Batiste, Sr.

Preceded in Death
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul, Sr. and Josephine Dupas Batiste; and brothers, Paul Batiste, Jr. and John P. Batiste.

Visitation
Visitation will be held Monday, October 27, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
