Obituary for Dale James Gaspard

Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Dale James Gaspard will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Moncla with Father Albi Mulloth officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Gaspard, age 78, of Marksville, Louisiana passed away on Sunday,
January 18, 2026, at his residence in Marksville. He is preceded in death by
his parents, Aswell and Verlie Smith Gaspard; daughter, Marilyn Gaspard;
great grandson, Caleb Soileau.

Those left to cherish her memory are his wife of 25 years, Emma
Lamartiniere Gaspard of Marksville, Louisiana; daughter, Casey Gaspard
of Marksville, Louisiana; 2 stepsons, sons, Joey (Marie) Marcotte and
Scotty (Heidi) Marcotte both of Fifth Ward, Louisiana; step-daughter,
Angie (Cory) Roy of Marksville, Louisiana; brother, Bobby (Ann)
Gaspard, Sr. of Pineville, Louisiana; 1 grandchild, Chelsa (Brandon)
Guillot of Moncla; 11 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 step-
great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m.
until 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in
Marksville. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Steve Franks, Brandon Guillot,
Brad Normand, Joey Marcotte, Scotty Marcotte, and Brad Gaspard.
