Mass of Christian burial for Mr. David Lance Theriot will be held on Tuesday, April 14 th, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville, Louisiana with Father Wade DeCoste officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joesph Cemetery #2.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, Louisiana. Mr. Theriot, age 74, of Manvel, Texas, formerly of Marksville, Louisiana passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 8 th , 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents,
Alfred and Marie Louise Bailey Theriot; two brothers, Roy Theriot and Sonny Theriot; one infant sister; Ann Jeannine Theriot; and three great grandchildren, Jace Theriot, Hudson Theriot, and Ayla Theriot.
Mr. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He devoted his life to his
family and being a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church serving at Mass and teaching Catechism for numerous years. He is a devoted member of the ACTS family where he attended, teamed, and became a director for one of the men’s retreats. David’s love for God and dedication to his faith, left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed by his family and the community. “Now go out and share the word of God and be fishers of men.”
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 50 years, Pat Brocato Theriot; sons, Lance Theriot (Vanessa Denton) of Marksville, Louisiana and Justin Theriot (Charissa) of Alexandria, Louisiana; one daughter, Tricia Bordelon (Jason) of Houston, Texas; brothers, John Theriot of Slidell, Louisiana, Paul Theriot (Dody) of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Ronnie Theriot (Diane) of New Orleans, Louisiana; sisters, Marie Tortorich of Metairie, Louisiana, Jeannette Knoll (Eddie, Sr.) of Marksville, Louisiana, Jeannice Theriot of Houston, Texas, and Adrienne Theriot of New Orleans, Louisiana; he is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14 th , 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Homes in Marksville, Louisiana. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Oliver Theriot, Triston Theriot, Landon Theriot, Jason Bordelon, Eddie Knoll, Sr., and Keith Brocato.
