Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Mr. Fabious Paul Ponthieux will be held on Tuesday, April 21 st , 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Belldeau, Louisiana with Father Kenneth Obiekwe officiating. Interment will follow at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Ponthieux, age 50, of Hessmer, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at Medical City Dallas Hospital, in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby “Boo-Key” Ponthieux, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of four years, Brittany Daigrepont Ponthieux;
sons, Brett Ponthieux (Regan) of Hessmer, Blaze Ponthieux (Ashlan) of Hessmer, and Beaux Ponthieux; two daughters, Bailey Descant (Alex) of Hessmer and Brooklynn Ponthieux (Hessmer); mother, Betty Jeansonne of Hessmer; brothers, Bobby Ponthieux, Jr. (Trish) of Hessmer and Todd Ponthieux (Julie) of Hessmer; sister, Krissy Wagner (John) of Hessmer; five grandchildren; Talon Ponthieux, Brooks Ponthieux, Mason Descant, Jace Descant, and Josiah Ponthieux.
Fabious Paul Ponthieux, a dedicated business owner of Boo Key’s Wrecker Service for 28 years, passed away. Leaving behind a legacy of hard work, commitment, and love. Known as a true workaholic, he poured his heart into his business and took great pride in serving his community.
Beyond his work, he was a loving husband, devoted father who cherished his family above all else. In his free time, he found peace and joy in hunting, and a passion for mud racing, where his adventures and spirit for the outdoors came alive. He will be remembered for his tireless spirit, devotion to those he loved, and the lasting impact on everyone that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20 th , 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Ken Primeaux in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 21 st , 2026, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until
10:30 a.m. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Brett Ponthieux, Blaze Ponthieux, Bobby Ponthieux, Jr., Todd Ponthieux, Jason Aymond, and Kevin Aymond.
