Malcolm, a resident of Pineville, Louisiana, was born August 15, 1948, in Marksville, Louisiana. He was known to his friends as Tiny, but there wasn’t anything small about him. He was a big man with a big personality, a Jack of all trades, and the recipient of many job titles. The most important titles he ever had were those of being a husband, Dad, and Pawpaw. He and his wife traveled and moved a lot in their married life and were devoted to each other. He loved joking and telling stories. He was a lover of horses and enjoyed riding them when he was younger. He liked rabbit and deer hunting. His favorite pastime was finding things for cheap and then reselling them to make a few extra nickels, he’d say. Our family is going to miss him very much, for he was a one-of-a-kind fellow. He liked people and people liked him. He left his mark on this world and all who had the opportunity to know him.He is survived by his children, Patsy (Wayne) Dodge of Deville, Louisiana, Aubry (Diane) Tyler of Centerpoint, Louisiana, Junior (Cindy) Tyler of Centerpoint, Louisiana, and Randy Tyler of Deville, Louisiana; siblings, Mattie Lemoine, Beverly Gaspard, Matilda Prevot, Joseph Gaspard, Rodney Gaspard, and Marlene Hines; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy L. Gaspard; parents James & Evie Gaspard; two sisters, Judy Normand & Elaine Jeansonne. Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
